During a Feldenkrais ‘Awareness Through Movement Lesson’, the practitioner verbally guides the students through a series of movements to help them:

  • Learn ways to identify and release habitual patterns of muscular tension
  • Explore more efficient and integrated patterns of movement

so that they may

  • increase movement options
  • develop greater flexibility and coordination
  • reduce tension and fatigue
  • improve the comfort and ease of movement.
